The Alliance: These are the tigers of the North. They are Siberian Tigers mostly, with thick orange fur, and are the largest of the big cats. They call themselves the Alliance because tigers generally do not live in groups. So, they are allies, friends, and though they all live in the same territory, they like to spread out, so they are the least social of all the big cats. But they are, none the less, one of the most powerful.
The Greater Pride: The lions, the classic, African Lions with the big tan bodies and long funny tails. This is the only group of cats that are run strictly by the males, and hunting duties go to females only. They are the most aggressive of the Inland Cats, and defend their territory viciously. They are constantly warring with the White Pride, as they are fewer in numbers, but greater in size and brute strength. They call themselves the Greater Pride because they have more cats than the other pride. They do not care about the other cats in the area.
The White Pride: The great white lions, the laziest beasts in the world. They don't like their aggressive neighbors, and are constantly having to fight them, which makes them surly and lazy. They would love to be friends, but the other lions wont have it. So, they sit and munch on anything that comes their way, and fight off the lions day by day.
The Jaguars: The biggest jungle cats, they keep mostly to themselves, and try not to be bothered with the other cats, as they cannot stand the climates where the other cats live. Black and spotted alike, these cats are quite active, and are very social for Jaguars. They spend their time napping in trees, swimming, fishing and hunting. They also spend lots of time chasing Clouded Leopards. In fact, Leopard Hunting is one of their favorite past times.
The Mountain Pride: The lions of the hills, the cougars. They love their little mountain, and defend it with a furious pride. Though they don't really have to, they pretend that everyone is trying to get there, and they must defend it with their lives. However, this is not entirely untrue. Smaller cats sometimes raid them for food, and they must drive them away. They also have bear problems. However, that is the extent of their problems, aside from the weather, and they enjoy their places as the kings and queens of the mountains.
The Coalition: The fastest cats in the world, the Cheetahs go by this name because that is what they are called when they travel in a group. Normally solitary, these cats are different. They are the largest group of big cats in the world, but they are the smallest cat to have their own domain. They chase off all bigger cats if they can, as the lions are often interested in their territory. They are somewhat friendly to the Leopards, who have no interest in their territory, and are also friendly to wanderers.
The Grassland Leap: The Leap O' Leopards they sometimes call themselves. These big spotted cats are wary of the big boys and girls, but they don't really mind the smaller groups. They keep mostly to themselves, and generally chase out wanderers, but are friendly to the cheetahs. They have claimed the Grasslands with the most trees, as they prefer to eat their meals up high to save them from the lions or from buzzards.
The Rainforest Leap: And finally, the Leap of the Treetops. The Clouded Leopard Leap, the smallest cats with the smallest territory. They live almost entirely in the treetops, where the Jaguars cannot reach them. They live in constant terror of the Jaguars, as they are often hunted by them for sport. This is due to the fact that a moody elder killed a jaguar cub several years ago when the youngster was eating their food supply. Now, all Clouded Leopards pay the price, but they get on reasonably well, and are the experts of the treetops, and good at navigating the rivers as well.
